Mr. B's, Brennan's, and Kezic Gallery

At Gates' suggestion, I had dinner two nights ago at Mr. B's Bistro.

The restaurant was busy at 5:30, so I was grateful I had made a reservation. It got even busier (and louder) as time passed. My delicious dinner consisted of redfish ( a new kind of fish for me - very tender and mild), rice, and green beans almondine.

I had spied profiteroles (hard to find and one of my favorites) on the dessert menu, but knew I couldn't possibly eat a serving of three. I asked the waitress if I could just order one, and she very kindly delivered:

I had read that Mr. B's is a sister restaurant to Brennan's where I had dinner last night.

The maitre d' confirmed this, and it was an outstanding experience beginning with honey bread presented in a napkin basket:

Next was Creole Tomato Tostada made with heirloom & Creole tomatoes, burrata, and homemade okra tostada:

My nearby dinner mates had taken the Whitney Plantation trip (their tour decals on their shirts alerted me) and while they enjoyed it, they commented on the length of the bus trip. They ordered Bananas Foster for dessert, and the waiter put on quite a show:

As I wandered back to the hotel, I passed Kezic Gallery where Kezic was busy painting to music. His work was distinctive with lots of color and texture.
