New Orleans Art Museum - Old Favorites and New Ones

NOMA had exhibits by some of my favorite artists, and I found some new artists that I liked a lot:

I love David Smith's metal work.
Giacometti is one of my favorite sculptors.

Elizabeth Catlett is a new artist for me. I liked her work and the commentary.

Wow! This was a real departure from the previous Louise Bourgeois work I've seen. I'm fond of her varied spider sculptures. This one was so different, and the commentary added to my understanding of her.

I've heard of Sรจvres, but wasn't aware of the backstory.

One reason I love exploring art museums when I travel is I'm always surprised by unusual works such as this chair and table:

I'd never seen that Louise Bourgeois piece. So interesting to see something something so different of her work.
