St. Moritz Shower

There's been a bit of a learning curve in Switzerland since there is very little English translation.

The hotel shower brought this occasional confusion to a new level. But in the end, it was great! I figured it out, and it was the best shower ever.

When I opened the door, there was a touch screen to the right. My first thought was that it was a method to select music while you showered.

Wrong. The touch screen controlled all aspects of the shower experience. This screen shows the temperature which could be raised or lowered by turning the knob to the blue dot or to the red.

The other icons on the top and the left side were for where you wanted the water to come from - sides, top, or wand. The top row of icons allows you to select how you wanted the water to flow from the ceiling - more gently (first icon), more forcefully (second icon) or a cascade effect (third icon). I tried all the choices.

There were sprays along the walls, and the ceiling also had many places for water to flow from.

You could also control the "volume" (see why I thought it was a radio?). This control was for the force of the water.

More settings for the contrast selection or the cascade - both were ways the water flowed from the ceiling.

This shower was way longer than my usual...

  1. Wow, that does seem confusing but it looks like you've become expert at figuring out how things run:)
