Abu Dhabi - Part 1

Paula had hired a driver to take us to Abu Dhabi because the bus would take a very long time and might not run at night.

Gandhi arrived promptly at 8:30 AM, and the trip took about 1.5 hours. We were early since Louvre Abu Dhabi didn’t open until 10, so we decided to search for a quick bite to eat and coffee. We found one with a nearby parking space. It was a neighborhood spot in a big city. We ordered a coffee, a chai, an omelet and naan to split. It was delicious, and when we were done, we discovered the bill was 8AED or about $2.50! Best. Meal. Ever!

Abu Dhabi is much different from Dubai. It is so much calmer and less frenetic. I really liked it.

On the road to Abu Dhabi, we encountered either a bike race or a biking club.

Covered parking like in Oklahoma.

The omelet and naan.

  1. I just like to say Abu Dhabi.
It sounds a little like something Fred Flintstone would say!
I wonder how the Louvre compares to the Paris Louvre.
