"Homecoming" at the Museum of Cycladic Art

 "Homecoming" was a special exhibit of ten marble figurines and five vases made of marble, steatite and clay. These items were from the Late Neolithic period to those of the Early Cycladic II period (c. 5300 – 2400/2300 BC). The figurines depict solely the female figure.

  1. I googled Leonard Stern, the billionaire art collector who owned these amongst his other 161 pieces, and apparently it has caused a huge controversy over the legitimacy of many of the works. Interesting reading!
